The first trailer for the upcoming continuation of the Rocky series, titled Creed, has released its first trailer. Creed will focus on a new fighter named Adonis Johnson, who his the son of Apollo Creed, Rocky’s old friend and competitor.
The movie stars Michael B. Jordan as Adonis and he eventually turns to Philly’s greatest fighter to train him when he most needs it. The movie is directed and written by Ryan Coogler, who was the man behind Fruitvale Station where he originally worked with Jordan.
I’m a big fan of Jordan as an actor, and I really want to like this movie. I enjoy the old Rocky movies and think that this is definitely a solid concept to include in the overall franchise. Although I believe the trailer is trying a little hard, I’m definitely going to give this movie a shot, especially with Coogler handling things.
Creed is set for a November 25th release. Between this and Fantastic Four, Jordan could have a pretty good acting year.
Guy Ritchie is one of those directors that has his own very unique style. He has put out some classic originals like Snatch., RocknRolla, and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels while also bringing his flare to the pair of Sherlock Holmes movies starring Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law.
The first trailer for his latest film, The Man from U.N.C.L.E. has released and it looks like the rest of his films; a ton of fun. Ritchie has the ability to combine action with style in so many different ways and always gives viewers extremely cool characters that we want to be. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. focuses on the unlikely pairing of the two best spies from the CIA (Henry Cavill) and KGB (Armie Hammer) who go from hunting one another to working together in a joint mission.
The movie is actually based off of a spy T.V. show that goes by the same name from the 1960’s. The trailer makes both of these characters look very cool and like two James Bond’s that put 50% of their time into relaxing and enjoying the leisure of spy life while the other 50% is dead serious when a mission needs to be completed. I’m excited to see Cavill in another major motion picture aside from Man of Steel and Hammer find a (hopefully) bounce back from The Lone Ranger, because the first trailer looks like the movie is going to be a lot of fun and a fresh roll for both of these actors as well as another hit for Ritchie.
The Man from U.N.C.L.E. is scheduled for an August 14th release date and more photos and trailers should be coming out soon.
The first trailer for the remake of the horror classic Poltergeist has officially hit the web. The original film is a staple part of the genre which makes it no surprise to see the movie finally being remade after so long.
The updated Poltergeist is scheduled for a July 24th, 2015 release and stars Sam Rockwell, Rosemarie DeWitt and Jared Harris.
What do you think of the trailer? Will this remake be a nice nod to the original, or continue the trend of classic horror movies ruined with modern versions?
